LGBT+ Journey to Inclusion and why?

As the first primary school in Scotland to achieve their Silver LGBT Charter Mark, which was a definite journey, we have considerable experience in getting it right for our children. In this workshop I will share our insights and some activities which took us on our journey to LGBT+ inclusion. As part of this, we will explore some of the stats relating to LGBT young people, some of the legislation and the opportunity, activities around LGBT Young people, tackling tricky conversations with parents, creating an inclusive environment, useful resources and websites. Also the chance for you to ask any questions pertinent to your own journey.

(This session was delivered at the DHT/PT Conference and AHDS Annual Conference in 2023 and was very highly rated by attendees. We are offering this as a TTT session to make it accessible to members throughout Scotland.)

This session is for AHDS members only, is free to attend and runs from 4 - 5pm.
