AHDS AGM 2021
After having had no AGM or annual conference in 2020 we had hoped to be back to a full face to face conference this year. Unfortunately, we had to make the decision not to hold a full conference again this year. As we are running a virtual event we decided to have a tightly-wrapped package this year – with a range of separate professional learning opportunities delivered at different times in our ‘Time to Think’ series. In common with the ‘Time to Think’ series, the AGM is for members only and there is no cost for attendance.
So, this year’s event will comprise a presentation from our new Education Secretary and the AHDS AGM. We will start with a speech from Shirley-Anne Somerville MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Education and Skills at 1pm. The AGM will start immediately after at 1.45pm and we aim to finish by 3.pm.
The AGM will follow the agenda below.
- General Secretary’s Address
- Audited Accounts for 2020-21
- Professional Advice Report
- National Executive & Council members for 2021-22
- President’s Address
While the deadline has passed for submission of motions suggesting change to the AHDS constitution, members can submit policy motions for consideration up until 15 days before AGM. So, the deadline this year is 20 October. Motions should be submitted using this form Motion Form 2021 and must be supported by a proposer and seconder (who both would need to attend the AGM to speak to the motion).
We hope to see many of you on the afternoon of the 4th November.
