SLF 2010 takes place on Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 September in Glasgow. The theme for SLF 2010 is Curriculum for Excellence: Enhancing Experiences, Raising Standards and the conference secretariat is now open for abstracts for proposed participation. SLF 2010 will provide opportunities to find out about innovative approaches to learning and teaching and showcase how practitioners and learners are already taking advantage of Glow and other technologies, bringing together examples of educational practice, leadership and management strategies from across the Scotland and beyond. Are you aware of establishments/organisations that demonstrate good practice and would like to encourage them to complete a submission or maybe there is a project that you have been working on, or with partners that could be showcased. Further information on the theme for 2010, along with a link to the Call for Participation website, are available from the SLF website at http://www.ltscotland.org.uk/slf/index.asp. We would be grateful if you could ensure all your networks are aware of the Call for Participation and suitably encouraged to participate. There is a robust review, evaluation and scoring system in place to help ensure all submissions are treated equally and therefore it is essential that all requests to participate, whether internal or external, go through the submission process and adhere to the timescales provided. To ensure that your area of work is represented in the conference programme, please complete and submit the Call for Participation form for consideration. Last year we received in excess of 450 submissions which allowed LTS to deliver a relevant and balanced conference programme covering all key areas of education. The 2010 programme will be launched in mid April and will feature those sessions that have been submitted and selected by the review panel. The deadline for submitting proposals is Friday 5 February 2010. Submissions received after this date will not be considered for inclusion in the conference programme. We look forward to receiving submissions and hope you will contribute to 2010 to help LTS to continue to deliver Scotland’s largest annual national education conference and exhibition. If you would like to further discuss any aspects of SLF 2010 please contact Tracy Reilly or Elaine Docherty. Regards The SLF Team |
